THE SPATIAL INTEGRATION OF THE REGIONAL INFRASTRUCTURE IN SOUTH AMERICA
Sinopsis
The objective of the article is to analyze the geopolitics of natural resources, its selation with infrastructure projects and the latest "Initiative for the Integration of Regional Infrastructure in South America" (IIRSA) that has been advancing in a silent and slow pace as such a vector that complementarily produces a bigger interdependence among countries and between the Mercosur and the Andean Community sub-regional hlocks with the construction of sectorial networks of transportation, energy and lecommunications. Throughout this discussion, based on the study of the speech in ufficial documents and on critical debates to the IIRSA plan, the article supplies asistance for a better comprehension of the physical integration in the continent and the tubs that cross South America in order to demonstrate the main motivations, controversies and limitations and their reflectivities in the international relations of the
negion.
